Mail Agent Upgrade Folder Design Fails for Subfolders with a Leading Space

Technote Number: 1114675

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering and has been addressed in Notes
6.5.1.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.1 MR fix list (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

LotusScript
SPR# MGAN5PHR9X - Replaced the existing UtilReplaceString Sub with
LotusScript's Replace function. Prior to this change, upgrading the design of a
folder would fail on a folder which included a leading space. This regression
was introduced in 6.0.

Workaround:

Temporarily rename the subfolder name so that it does not start with a leading
space and execute the agent.

Supporting Information:

The cause of this issue is relative to code within the UtilReplaceString
function within the agent. The agent uses the Trim function when breaking down
the subfolder name (approximately line 25):

strRightStr = Trim$(Mid$(strTarget, lngPos + 1 , StrLenght))

It is not known what other side effects to the functionality removing the Trim$
function call from the above statement would have. So at this time, it is not
suggested that the Trim call be removed from the code line.
